Two dozen or so similar files to the above, (and increasing in number), are beginning to clog up the root directory of one of my usb drives. When opened they are HotFixInstallerUI.dll files. They are only a few kb’s in size. When opened they contain a folder with a 4 digit number. I read somewhere that it is safe to delete the files. The problem is message appears; ‘Cannot Delete Access Denied’. Has the ‘fix’ occurred and does anyone know what the point of them is? Can anyone tell me how to be rid of them without having to format the disc of course! Thanks for any info.
