I tried to install a Nero demo and screwed it up during the process. I tried reinstall over and still the software won't work so I tried uninstalling it using Ccleaner the configuration comes up as it normally does but after that nothing! The program is still on the list! Then I tried the Delete Entry button, this message comes up "Cannot delete MSI installer". How do I get it out of my OS?

Welcome to TSG....

After installing Nero, Nero is like the worlds worst virus in my opinion. the best way of uninstalling it is first to re-install it to the same spot that it was before and then reboot the computer. Then go to the following Microsoft site and read and get the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility after it is installed then you run it and find the Nero in the window and highlite Nero stuff and only that then tell it to remove and answer everything so you are going to continue, when it is done exit and reboot the computer.

Be careful of what is highlighted as this will remove anything that you tell it to, actually you do not have to go thru add/remove programs as this takes care of the entries in there also.

Is it really that bad? Are you talking just about uninstalling, or are there other issues?

I've used Nero for years without any problems, but then I don't update often and don't think I've ever uninstalled.

Now, Roxio is like a virus to me. It leaves drivers behind and disables the CD-ROM's. Kind of a scorched-Earth retreat.
