Canon S5 IS software says it cannot detect camera.
Shows up under my computer as a device when turned on.
    Shows up in device manager

My Casio camera still shows up and works when plugged in.

Canon says it is a windows problem. HELP

Bought a USB drive for the card and it worked fine till I lost it today.
Want to get the camera to load direct.
Uninstalled the soft ware and used Paint Shop Pro and same thing.
It is there but nothing sees it.

If you don't need to use Canon's software (which you don't) uninstall it. There's a few better programs around than Canon's glitchy software.

I guess it depends on what you want from the program.

I do not use it. I did uninstall it and have PSP
It shows up as a drive, but will not show up in any software.

What software did you want it to show up in?

With PSP, you can access the images one at a time using File/open.

If you are wanting to transfer them all to your computer, just do so using windows explorer, copy and paste or dragging to another open window.
