 We installed Norton Internet Security, and when we downloaded the updates, now when we open the program, everything is disabled and when we try to enable, the message""you do not have the necessary rights to configure the item you have checked". any ideas what happened or how to fix this? We are running Windows 2000. Thanks so much, I have tried and tried to figure this one out!!!

Sounds like a permissions issue. Log in as an administrator or power user. See if you can make the changes you desire.

If not, (still logged in as the administrator) remove and reinstall the program. Reboot. Log in again as the administrator, update and see if that resolves the issue.
