My Dell laptop running windows XP cannot access a web browser even though it appears as if there is a connection that is working. Explorer diagnostic shows WinSock status ok, Network adapter identification ok, but there are errors saying "Could not make an HTTP connection, Could not make an HTTPPS connection and Could not make an FTP connection. I do not know what this means or how to fix. Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't understand what "access a web browser" means.

    Let's check your connection ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
