I cannot install a printer on my XP system. I'm pretty sure that I know why but I'm not sure I know how to fix it. When I installed XP onto my new hard drive I got some error messages saying it was unable to find a few files on the cd. I checked the CD and sure enough it has a nasty scratch on it. So I figured I'd try to continue the install just to see what happens. It finished OK except when I try to install a printer it says "Operation could not be completed". Am I just out of luck or can this be fixed. I know I still have the full install on my other hard drive. Could the files be copied somehow?
