What is the extension of the attachment? If it is a picture, you need to open it with your photo program or Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. When you find the extension, just right click and select Open With> choose program, and select the program from the list to open the attachment and then check the box: Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.

The name of the attachment ends with pps.
    Is pps the extention?
Cannot find "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer"
I went to Control Panel/Folder Options/File/ type tab
I could not find pps file extention.
What do I do now?

That is a power point slideshow. You need to download the free Power Point Viewer if you don't have Power Point that is with Office.
