unable to update adaware or spybot.. have tried several solutions found on web but have not been able to fix the problem. Also have my web browser about every 5th website I go to...

adaware- when I try to run a scan it shuts down unxpectedly and when I try to update it says..

"connection error check your settings errorcode -1"

    have check hosts file
had same problem with zonealarm off
    and internet is working fine

had spybot working fine and scanning ok but then was getting error msg when trying to update.
have removed and re-installed spybot now wont scan at all because it needs to update
"error retrieving update file" is the error i am getting.

below is my hijactthis details anyhelp appreciated.
