Using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and XP SP2
I have downloaded a new theme, installed it,checked"use this theme",restarted F/F,but cannot get F/F to use the new theme. This happens even when I try to change the theme to an older theme that I have installed.I know I'm missing somethig here, but I don't know what.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Once you have downloaded your .jar file, simply drag it onto the Firefox Theme Manager window. The theme manager can be found in the Firefox: Tools > Themes. Firefox will ask you whether you want to install the theme - click Yes.
    Then restart Firefox.
You can also open Tools> Themes and click Get More Themes.

Augie:Thanks for the quick response. The new theme has been loaded into the theme managr window and installed. When I click on it or indicate use this theme,I am prompted to restarte F/F,which I do,but still no joy.I have re-downloaded the same theme and gone through this process a few times with no luck.
I have a hunch that this has something to do with my profile, but I don't know what.

    Thanks

Just create a new profile and see it you can install the theme there. If it works you can move bookmarks and extensions from your old profile. Instructions on same link.
