I was using an Adata XPG SX8200 M.2 (PCIe 3 x4) with an ASRock B250M but it failed after six months or so. After I replaced it with a Samsung 970 EVO M.2, ultrafast boot just goes to BIOS. I tried a regular SATA SSD and ultrafast boot then works. I tried the Samsung on an ASRock Z370M and again, ultrafast boot doesn't work. Is it a bad drive or a setting?

Update: Put a new 480GB Adata XPG SX8200 M.2 in place of 500GB Samsung 970 EVO after cloning it from, the Samsung, and Ultrafast boot works again. :) Haven't run the benchmarks again yet but the XPG SX8200 looks to be at least as ast and maybe a bit faster than the Samsung. (Adata, unlike Seagate, sent a brand new drive, not a "fully functional refurbished" drive. Thanks Adata!)
