Canon PowerShot S45 and Windows 7.

It seems that Canon will not develop a Windows 7 driver for PowerShot S45 cameras. However, there is an alternative: changing the camera’s “Communication” from the default “Normal” to “PTP”. With this setting, Windows sees the camera as a “Portable Device” and installs its own driver for it.

Now one can copy pictures from the camera’s Memory Card (but not write to it). ZoomBrowser doesn’t see the card either - annoying, but such is life…
