My DG5450 scan utility scan gear is unable to save a scan because it says the folder permission is wrong. It gives this message after the scan has been started and wants to save it. I have checked permissions for the dest folder and they are OK. Anyway, the only thing I have changed on my Macbook Pro is to create another Admin user. Any advice appreciated.

Make sure that second ADMIN account has the same access as your primary account. Make sure you have the latest scanner updates from the Canon site. Also, check the Canon boards and see if there have been issues with the scanner.

Yup, reinstalled everything, removed all accounts but mine. There were no actual specifics from their boards apart from creating a guest and trying from there. Tried changing folders and permissions but to no avail. opened the window ready to chuck the printer out but will try one or two more things before I quit. Unless somebody has another suggestion. Thanks.
