When you format(or replace) a hard drive and then do a clean install of Windows XP, the drivers for one or more of that computer's devices won't get installed.

That's why you need to know the identity of those devices and need to have the drivers for them available before you start.

If you follow etaf's instructions, you should be able to obtain them.

Download and save them in a working computer, then burn them off to a CD-R or copy them to a USB thumb drive, then use that media to install the drivers.

Go into the Device Manager and advise what's listed in these headings:

    Display Adapters

    IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers

    Network Adapters

    Other Devices

    Sound Video And Game Controllers

    --------------------------------------------------------------

From what I can determine so far, your computer has these devices:

    NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics/chipset

    Realtek High Definition audio

    Realtek RTL8201N 10/100 ethernet

but that needs to be confirmed.
