canot get network adapter in my device manager or internet connections

    Just to make sure there's no confusion, Windows XP and not Windows Vista is currently installed in that computer, correct?

    Double-click each device that's listed in the Other Devices heading.

    That will bring up a properties window for it.

    Click the "Details" tab.

    Look for a string that has VEN_####&DEV_#### as part of the string.

    Advise what the characters are that follow VEN_ and DEV_.

    Be careful not to make any typos.

    These vendor and device codes will allow the devices to be identified so their drivers can hopefully be obtained.
