    I'm not sure if this is where I need to post this but it's about as close as I could figure was the right forum.

    Anyway, I have been a LONG time member of CASTBOOLITS and all of a sudden I can no longer access the site. I use Windows 10, Internet Explorer.

    This is the message I get regardless of how I try to access the site:

    [] operator not supported for strings on line 8 in /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/includes/class_bootstrap.php(433) : eval()'d code
    #0 /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/includes/class_bootstrap.php(433): eval()
    #1 /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/includes/class_core.php(4391): vB_Bootstrap->process_templates()
    #2 /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/includes/class_core.php(4349): vB_Template->__construct('Display_Registe...')
    #3 /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/forum.php(89) : eval()'d code(105): vB_Template::create('Display_Registe...')
    #4 /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/forum.php(89): eval()
    #5 /home/gunloads/public_html/castboolits/index.php(43): require('/home/gunloads/...')
    #6 {main}

    Can someone help me out with this? I am NOT a computer person so any explanation must me in the MOST simple terms.

    Works for me from the UK using W7 and Opera but it is seems to be a temporary site and this announcement may be why;

    "We are in the process of installing a huge upgrade to our site. The site may be down here and there and upon completion will have an entirely new look for a few days. Please bare with us while we do this! Thank you."

    Use a different browser. I would recommend Chrome or Firefox.

    Does it happen on that first page?

    If so try clearing the temporary internet files.

    Thank you all for your suggestions.

    I believe TOGG may have the answer. Since he mentioned it, it seems to me some years ago there was a very similar occurrence on that site without any warning. We'll see what happens in a couple of days.

    I did try Firefox with the exact same results.

    I don't get the error, but it may be the case.

    I had no problem accessing the site with both IE11 and Firefox on Windows 8.1. I think TOGG is right and it's probably sporadic or specific to certain locations when there are interruptions.

    I found it curious the message says "and upon completion will have an entirely new look for a few days". I wonder why they are doing an upgrade to a new look that will only last a few days..... :D

    I'd assumed that the reference to 'a few days' was to the expected life of the plain text temporary looking site that I landed on, and that there would be a snazzy, new look, when they finished the upgrade?

    Out of curiosity I just visited the site using Firefox and it displays the same as it did with Opera.

    That's what I thought too but they say specifically "upon completion" which means after the upgrade there will be a new look for a few days. It's all in the twist of the wording. Perhaps English is not their native language.

    If you click on the link, you get that text looking view of the site. If you click the logo in the top left corner you get the full site.

    The thing that bothers me is the "not secure" icon of the site.

    This had me giggling
    I'm not in the habit of undressing for an internet site.
