    Hi,
I've a linksys wifi router WRT54GH connected with D-link modem to have a wifi access point at my home.
All the devices, my 2 laptops, 1 desktop can connect to this wifi & can access the internet without any problem.
But when I connect my phone Samsung Galaxy S2 OR Samsung Galaxy Grand, phone cannot access the internet even though phone is able to connect the wifi & can get an IP address as well from router.

I tried my phone connected over other wifi access points & worked without any issue & can access internet, to confirm that there is no problem with phones.
So problem is with my home network configuration / setup.
    Can someone please help ?

    Thanks in Advance

    Remove the wireless security
    Is your wireless security enabled?
if so - log into the router and remove the wireless security - now see if it will connect.
if it does - log back into the router and try with the wireless security enabled again

    Hi Etaf,
    Thanks for prompt response.
So....I've tried your suggested thing with my router. After disabling wireless security, my phone can access the internet BUT with very very very low bandwidth (low speed) can't even open google page :( :( .... and at the same time laptop can access the internet at the fullest.

    Etaf,
You mean my phone connects to any other wifi access point ?
If so, yes I use my phone at office wifi & also tried at some other locations as well, where it can browse easily without any problem. Thers just something with my home network.
    Any other suggestions ?

    Thanks

Etaf, Ok. But with this firmware upgrade will my previous configuration at router resume? Or do I need to reconfigure it again ?

you will need to re-configure - also make sure you follow the instructions to the letter - firmware upgrades can make the unit unusable if not carried out correctly
ALSO check to make sure the firmware already on the unit is from the manufacturer and not your ISP - some ISP are now loading their own firmware , at least in the UK they are

I cant not think of anything else to suggest now

By "connect" do you mean actually communicate--as in ping works or you can access the router configuration pages?

By IP address you mean one assigned by the router, not an APIPA (169.254.x.y), right?

    Hi Terry,
By 'connect' means from my phone I can access the router configuration page.
And yes, IP is assigned by router only (from the network 192.168.1.X)

OK, just wanted to make sure that nothing "dumb" was being overlooked.
