I have a USB keyboard. When trying to access setup or the boot menu ("press F2 for setup or F12 for menu") nothing happens. I then get a "keyboard failure" message followed by a normal winXP startup, and the keyboard works. Apparently, the computer is looking for the keyboard at the round keyboard port before checking the USB ports. What to do?

If you don't want to play in the bios, there is also a small, inexpensive convertor plug that will change your USB keyboard to a PS/2 keyboard.

Unplugged keyboard from add-on USB card then plugged it into one of the original USB ports. Problem solved. Thanks to all who replied.
