Hi guys,

im having a problem accessing shares on a windows xp computer from a windows 7 one. It was working before lockdown, but isnt now.
it prompts me for a password and if i try Administrator with no password (I'm using an Administrator account with no passwords on my systems, (the computer just loads into the Administrator account) it says wrong login details.

The account its trying to initially use is the windows 7 administrator account which is the same as the xp credentials ie: Administrator , no password.
But if i use other account and put in for user \\XPCOMP

gives the "Is not accessible - You might not have permission to do this network resource..."

its only the windows 7 machine
other xp machines see the shares no problem.

any help appreciated

Try putting the computer name first. like this "Computername\Administrator"

You may have to select "Use different Credentials first" (something like that. can't remember off the top of my head)
