Can't boot due to breakpoint exception

Hello, jmarbo, and welcome to TSG.

This issue may occur if the system files associated with the logon are either missing or broken and may not be due to a virus or malware. I have moved your post to our Windows 10 forum for now. Please let us know if you are running a different version of Windows. This thread can be moved back to our virus and malware forum if the problem does turn out to be virus or malware related.

You can boot a Windows setup USB, and on second screen choose Repair. Then go into the menu to find startup options. Then it will reboot to allow you to get into Safe Mode. From there you can try to find that startup program that is having the breakpoint.
