cant burn wma files

    i have a friend she is runing windows xp and has ahead nero, she can copy a cd but when she puts the cd into media and then trys to compile a cd it wont read the file format which is wma
    any help would be great as i can do this on my computer with no problem

    One problem with the WMA format is that most users are using the Default settings from Windows Media Player, and when you create a WMA file with this default setting, you are preventing anyone from writing this to a CD.

    It's a protection feature they have. You must first disable this from within the Window Media Players TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> Copy Music settings, and disable the Protect Content option.

    When you first install Windows Media Player, it warns you of this.
    WMA files that you buy from the internet are also protected and can not be burned to CD with Nero.

    You may also need to download a "Plug In" for Nero, to use WMA files.
