There is a major problem with my broadband connection. I cannot connect to any website that has to do with Microsoft i.e. www.microsoft.com, www.passport.net, and www.hotmail.com . I also cannot connect to MSN Messenger anymore. I can still view other websites perfectly, though. And I can download stuff off Kazaa flawlessly. But there ARE certain non-Microsoft related websites out there that I also cannot connect to properly, such as www.mail.com and www.dashboardconfessional.com (definitely nothing to do with Microsoft on this site). But when I switch back to my Dial-up connection, all these sites that I couldn't access on my ADSL line can be viewed with no problems whatsoever.

I have tried almost everything , changing settings in IE... reinstalling the Client for Microsoft Networks, and it still doesn't work. I'm not sure whether its a hardware or software problem because it works on my dial up connection, but it doesn't work when I switch to the broadband line (all on the same computer) .

If it is any help, I currently use IE 6.

if you are using kazaa your PC is full of spyware - have a read here on all the people with IE problems and Kazaa.
This site will not support software which is used for illegal copying of copyrighted music - so if you want to get rid of the spyware you will also have to get rid of the P2P programs as well.

Yes, I am using Kazaa...

But if the spyware is affecting my internet connection, shouldn't this also affect my 56k dial up connection too? In this case, only the broadband connection is affected.

And this problem doesn't limit itself to Internet Explorer.... I also cannot view those sites when using Netscape

I would be very surprised if you get any help without removing Kazaa first!
