    Hi!

I have a laptop: HP pavillion dv7 and i can't connect to my wifi. It's not the first time it happens.

Previous time: Couldn't connect, formatted, couldnt connect, took it to a store, it worked there i arrived home and it was working.

This time: I had internet and i was playing Guild Wars 2, it lagged, the connection went down, cant connect to my wifi anymore.

Already tried to reset the router, rebooted the pc, clear all the networks memorized on the wifi list, and this:

"Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log"

that i saw on another post. Can anyone help?

    I can connect trough cable

Disable encryption on the router and try to connect. If successful you can probably re-enable encryption and reconnect.

If unsuccessful make sure you have the latest wireless driver from the PC manufacturer's web site.

Try the driver direct from Intel's site. If you still cannot connect unsecured I assume that the adapter or the part of the motherboard to which it connects is defective. But you could try one more thing: if the card is easily accessible through a cover on the laptop's bottom remove and carefully and firmly reinsert the card several times. This will cure any potential looseness or corrosion problem.
