by connect, i'm assuming your unable to play youtube videos.

youtube is now supporting HTML5 and has dropped support for flash. if IE requires the new HTML5 player. download it from within the link below, if your browser doesn't use it by default.
https://www.youtube.com/html5?gl=GB
Many browsers support both the video element in HTML5 include:
Google Chrome
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Firefox
Opera
Apple Safari

for the time being older vids are still flash supported, see if flash is installed.

No. Youtube page is not opening. It shows unable to connect.
check security settings: Disable any recently installed firewall, such as droidwall, etc as they block sites if boxes are checked called Media server, (or similar) excluding sites like youtube.

  • Disable any Ad Blockers in the browsers

also, a system restore to an earlier date when it worked ok could help

It is not because of that. I tried that too. It is showing Unable to connect to the proxy server. Even i tried to uncheck the same in the settings. But failed to do so

check out your hosts as files may have been altered:

The hosts file is located at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

The file should look like this;

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#

# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost

Make sure that no entries for youtube are in there. You can view and edit the file with any standard text editor, Notepad will do it for instance.

delete entries such as these
208.117.236.70 YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. #for Youtube
208.117.236.70 YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. #for Youtube

contact your ISP
several ISPs in your country/region block youtube and other sites because they disapprove of the content and cannot censor/ filter it to block certain content
