cant connect with cable but wireless is working

    hey guys,
    i'm havin a really irritating problem here....my wireless seems to be working perfectly alright but for some reason when i connect to the internet via my cable it doesnt work....i'm using a router along with 3 other guys n they are able to connect without any problems using a cable

    Bad cable, bad port on the router, bad NIC, or defective drivers for the NIC.

    I'd try a new cable, change the port used on the router with one that is currently working for one of the other computers, and load updated and/or a new copy of the NIC drivers. If that doesn't do it, the NIC may be bad.
