Since a DSL tech shared my laptop a couple of weeks ago to resolve a problem, I can't copy any text from any website to paste elsewhere. Instead, I get a plus symbol and then have to "clip" the highlighted area. I don't want to clip - I need to copy and paste. Can someone help me please? I have Windows XP. I'm sure it's just a matter of changing some setting, but I have no clue which setting it would be.

In IE go to "Tools">>Internet Options.

In the "Security" tab click on "Custom".

Scroll down and look for "Drag and Drop or Copy and Paste Files" be sure the radial button for enable is checked.

I appreciate your help, but that radio button is already enabled. Do you have any other suggestions?
