I get to the correct site, do the download, everything appears OK but in the Control Panel is says it is a 32 bit Flash Player installed?

    What's going on?

    Thanks

You only need to install a 64bit version of Flash Player if you are using the 64bit version of Internet Explorer. If it is working on your browser without any problems then you have nothing to be concerned with.

FYI. All 64bit versions of Windows have a 64bit version of IE included but you would have to select it from the programs list. Unless you have done that you will find the version you are using is 32bit. It is incorrect to assume that as you have 64bit Windows that IE is also 64bit.
With IE open click on Help and About Internet Explorer, in the pop up box next to the version number it will say 64bit edition, if it just shows the number it is 32bit.

Thanks Mark, ummmmm, I don't get any pop up or version number when I click on "About IE"

Just the version number and the last update etc.

Is there another way to find this info?

    Thanks again

As I explained, if it only shows the version number it is 32bit. If it shows the version number followed by 64bit edition it is 64bit.

See the screenshot, this is what the 32bit version shows, is that what you are seeing?

As I also explained, if you haven't selected the 64bit version of IE from your programs list then you will find you are using the 32bit version.
