I have a Windows 10 Build 18290 PC and since I updated from the previous build, I can't download any files at all. Every file gives an error saying the file contains a virus. I tried turning off Smart Screen in Edge, in Group Policy Editor and in the Settings screen but no luck. I also tried using Chrome but the same error occurs.

After making changes in Group Policy, did you issue the command 'gpupdate' or reboot Windows ?

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I did try that. No luck. The problem is bypassed (not necessarily solved), though. I downloaded Bitdefender to my OneDrive using another machine and ran it on the problem PC. Bitdefender must have reset the virus scanner because I no longer get the error. I don't know if the error will return if I uninstall Bitdefender or not but I'm happy with the system as it is.
