This is just annoying, I right click, click 'empty', 'yes' to delete 4 files and nothing happens. I right click, click 'explore' and there are no files hidden or otherwise. Anyone seen this before?

I've been having that problem too..

It shows that my recycle bin is full... When I right click to empty it asks if im sure I want to delete the 9 files, when I click yes, it says deleted, but it still shows as full.

I can right click and empty again, and it still asks to delete 9 files.

When I open it to see the files, it says recycle bin empty.

I've tried showing all file types, but still nothing shows.

Yes and I have only recently had this problem after cleaning out a lot of spyware, adware and viruses.

Maybe the registry is screwed up? Not sure how to do the restore for a registry problem, maybe you can try a program like norton systemworks?

"recycled" is the name in FAT32; "recycler" is the name in NTFS.

Here's the drill that usually fixes these things: Go to Start > Run, enter cmd and a command shell will open. At the prompt enter:

    rd /s c:\recycler

and confirm the prompt. It may be necessary to reboot and save a new file to complete the rebuilding of the bin.

On xp there is a NukeOnDelete possibility but I don't suppose you want that!
