I had 3 messages that I had trouble sending with Outlook. I eventually sent them with another email program. These three messages appear in the Outlook outbox only as a total number (3). I cannot see or access the actual messages but each time I exit Outlook it gives a message that I have unsent items in the outbox and asks if I still want to quit the application.

How do I get the outbox cleared when I can't find or see the offending messages?

Thanks,
Robert

Thanks. It helped somewhat. I added a new profile and somehow was able to get rid of 2 out of the 3 messages. Still can't see them at all (only the number indicating that it is there in the outbox). Same message on exiting Outlook.
Is it time to uninstall and reinstall?
Thanks for your help,
Robert

Hi rkbristol

Do you have a View setup that filters what you see in Outbox for Outlook 2003?
In Outlook, open the Outbox folder:
View > Arrange By > Current View > Messages
All messages should now appear.

Placing Outlook 2003 in Work Offline mode should also allow you to delete messages from the Outbox.
File > Work Offline
Delete the message in the Outbox.
File > Work Offline
To toggle off: Work Offline.
