Thank-You MadDog...I'm thinking it's a hardware problem because when I downloaded an upgrade for Internet Explorer I got a popup that said it wasn't able to load everything.

    you are sure welcome

... hardware (not my area that's for sure) but I have a feeling that is not an area for concern (yet)

You are upgrading IE, so I am assuming that you have applied all updates to your operating system - is this true?
If you haven't been there before, go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and get your files up to snuff.
(disable your virus protection when installing - it helps)

and a couple more questions for you ...

    - what operating system do you use
(you can run Belarc Advisor to see what's in the guts of your PC ... go here and download for free http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html )

    - how are you creating your web pages (which application)

    that's it for now
    :D

    Hi Izzy

As you are just starting on your webpage building mission - I have a very neat little site that I would like to point you to
Lissa Explains it All at http://www.lissaexplains.com/intro.shtml

I saw this site suggested in another thread, and I think it is just great for the beginner. (don't let the "for kids" notation fool you - we are all just kids - lol - and there is very valuable info in there)

Part of my corporate background was in designing and building websites - you are going to have a blast!.

Fall back to this forum for any questions - none are too small - and none are ever dumb!

    cheers
    Louise
