Hello I have a isuse that I need assistance with. I am having a similar problem as Truedol, the system will not allow me to view website where I have to enter in my password. Example facebook, email, banking websites etc.....I have a gateway and I use the virgin mobile internet service. My operating system is windowns xp. I dont get any error messages, lets say for example when I go to facebook enter in my user and password it will load my picture but that is about it. When I go to my email it accepts my user and password but wont load any of my messages. This has been going on for about 1 week now. Any suggestions. I am about at my wits end

Make sure you have the correct date and time on your computer.

You'll first need to determine is you indeed can't connect to secure websites (https). Try a few others to confirm.

1- Please click HERE to download HijackThis.
    2- Run the program.
3- Click on the Main Menu button if not already there.
4- Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
5- Copy and paste the scan log from Notepad into your next reply.
6- Do not "Fix" anything unless advised to do so.

    For Windows 7 and Vista:

If Windows is denying access to the Hosts file, run HijackThis as Administrator or disable the UAC first.
