Is the SSID broadcast enabled? Have you tried with no encryption?

There should be a reset button on the router. Push a paperclip or ballpoint pen into it, hold for 10 seconds or so, the lights should start flashing, and it should be reset to factory settings with no encryption. You can put the encryption back when you have things working.

You will need to go into your router settings. Type 192.168.2.1 from your web browser to do enter in to the router. Did you run the CD for initial setup? It may behoove you to restore the router to factory settings and start from scratch. First try to get the ipod onto your network without any security settings, than try to add on security settings back on.

Sorry didn't see last post said the same thing!

Does the phone already have the WEP key entered into it?

Just reset the router and save yourself hair pulling.

I don't know why your iPod is not detecting the Belkin's signal. The obvious possibility (SSID broadcast disabled) you've already denied. A much lower possibility is that it doesn't like whatever encryption you are using.

Your Belkin config pages are probably similar to mine. In the wireless section, security subsection maybe, make the security mode or encryption mode 'Disabled' (or Off or None). See attached.
