Note: XPS laptop computer running Windows 10
Tried to update drivers, et cetera, using Dells auto search tech support software. After I did so, I could no longer get on the internet via Wi-Fi. Other than getting on Wi-Fi, laptop is working.
When I attempted to troubleshoot problem using Windows network troubleshooter, I received the following error message: "Your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (www.microsoft.com) is not responding."
Having received the above error message, I did a network reset.
Identical problem still exists. Any help given will be appreciated.
NOTE: I finally was able to access Wi-Fi by going to my firewall settings where I found that chrome was being let through the firewall. I unchecked the fields that allowed that to happen and rechecked them to see if that would make a difference. It did, I can now get on the internet via Wi-Fi. Problem, I'm still getting the same error message when I trouble shoot Network Problems, i.e., "Your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (www.microsoft.com) is not responding."
