Would there be any viruses out there that would prevent one from getting online??

Since my computer crashed on the 8th (I repaired, but CANNOT get online!!), Norton's has picked up 2:

One on the 9th: a script blocking virus

And on the 15th, (no "online" capabilities!!): bloodhound.file.string

Thanks for any help at all....

I'm not at home, so will give you what I can, and get back with the other stuff as soon as I can (which may BE a few days...)

    Windows XP Home Edition

HJT Log had looked fine, but will attach.

    Thanks

ok, well maybe someone can just tell me the safest way to reformat and reinstall from the CD-ROM?? The computer is only 2 months old, and I've already backed up the setup files for my personally installed programs to a CD..... Perhaps the best thing to do would be to erase the drive and start over......
