I have searched through your files to see if there was anything similar but wasn't successful.

have windows 98, computer shut down suddenly, now i can only get the setup and I have changed a few things to see if windows would come up but nothing is working. I have downloaded the ultimate boot disk and it appears that my system wont read the a: drive. For two days I have been trying to fix this thing and for two days I have been getting invalid system disk. Any suggestions or should I throw it out the window?

Hi, and welcome.....when you downloaded the boot disk, you just didn't save it to the floppy disk did you? If so, you can't do it that way.....it has to be double clicked on and expanded to create the boot disk......

Hey, thanks for answering so quickly... I just downloaded it to a disk. Do I have to do it again?

What I would do, is drag it back to the desktop, delete it from the floppy disk, then double click on the icon on the desktop and follow instructions.
