cant get rid of virus

Hello...Im using windows 98...use avg as my anti virus
it has detected a virus.....but it says it cannot be removed
it call it "Downloader.small.5.d"......
It is located in C:\\Windows\Downloaded Progam Files\UGO 20.exe
I have gone over everything there....but I cannot find it.......must be hidden
Help!!!!!!!
I have hijack this....should i scan my system & send it in......or what?

Yes. First, make sure you have the latest version of HijackThis(1.97.7), then scan your computer and post the log.

Have you downloaded and installed AD-AWARE and SPYBOT - SEARCH & DESTROY and deleted all the "nasties" that they found?

Do post the HijackThis Scanlog as suggested. And in the meantime, go to Start > Run and enter command

A DOS Window should open. At the command prompt carefully type and enter, including the quotes:

del "C:\Windows\Downloaded Progam Files\UGO 20.exe"

we use spybot on a regular basis , which we keep updated as well

we apreciate all the help you can give with this in advance

Is the problem with the UGO 20.exe resolved?

The Scanlog doesn't look too bad, I would just check and "fix" these for housecleaning purposes. I don't think the aimster urls are valid one way or another.

Depending on how much ram you have (and even if you have 512) I'd look at scaling back some of the 04 startup items. You have a lot of stuff loading each time Windows starts that you simply don't need to have running at all times.
