I have a Compaq Presario 905US Laptop. I can't install any USB Audio devices. I've tried Edirol, Roland, Tascam and Creative USB interfaces. None of them will install.

Other USB devices, e.g. Mouse, Memory stick, Scanner, Digital camera work fine.
All HP technical support says is "reinstall the USB drivers". Of course that does nothing. What on earth is going on?

I've noticed that all my friends' laptops have one USB Host Controller and one USB Root Hub per two physical USB COnnectors. My computer shows two. I can't delete one set, they just come back when I reboot. Could the problem be here?

    Thanks,

    Mick Berg.
