I'm overhauling my mum's very old clone desktop, and everything is fine with it, but according to device manager, the VGA driver hasn't been installed. Since this is an old built system, there aren't any manuals or the like, so I don't know exactly what piece of hardware I have. All I know is that I'm using an integrated chip with my AsRock Mobo, since it doesn't have a Graphics Card or anything. Is there anyway to scan my system so I can find the appropriate driver on the net?

Also, when I ask Windows to search automatically, it can't find the driver... for some reason, it doesn't seem to want to connect to Windows Update to find the driver I need.

Any help? thanks.

Download System Information for Windows, see if it can find your motherboard model. You should be able to locate the driver with that information.
