Press the Window key + R. In the run field type: services.msc press enter.
Scroll down until you see “Print Spooler” and right click select properties.
Check the following in each tab.
Log on: Marked by Local System account and Allow service to interact with desktop.
Recovery: First and second failure set as Restart the Service.
General: Startup type Automatic, Service status is running if not click Start.

Hi, from the other thread the last responder asked you to run a sc query on spooler. Only problem is you must do this from an elevated cmd prompt. Go to start, search and type:- cmd right click on the returned cmd.exe and select "run as administrator" at the prompt copy paste all below in red:- (these cmd's are perfectly safe, they do not alter anything, they just read whats there)

echo > 0 & sc qc spooler >> 0 & sc queryex spooler>> 0 & echo >> 0 & notepad 0

Press enter, please copy paste the notepad outcome here.In addition from an elevated cmd prompt (as shown) copy paste all below in red:-

reg query "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler" /s > 0 & notepad 0

Press enter, please post the notepad outcome here.

Hi, well that tells us you have no spooler service, or at the least one that is not being recognised, we may have to install a spooler service. What response do you get when you run the second command from my post (reg query) must be run from an elevated cmd as admin (as shown).

We do need more info so I have crafted this cmd, please copy paste all below in red into a cmd prompt (as admin)

echo > 0 & dir /a C:\windows\system32\spool >> 0 & dir /a C:\windows\system32\spoolsv.exe >> 0 & echo >> 0 & notepad 0

Press enter, please post the notepad outcome here.

Hi, I need to know what happens when you run the reg query cmd:-

reg query "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler" /s > 0 & notepad 0

Press enter, must be run as admin (as shown). This will query the registry services entry for spooler.

Hi, the response" unable to find specified registry file" tells us that the spooler service is either corrupted or missing from the registry, either way you cannot print without it. Please be patient while i create a binary file to replace your spooler reg entry I have done this many times, unfortunately I will not be available until much latter today, so please be patient.

Hi, a lot of essential services are not running, you should back up your data and do a fresh install, do not play with windows services they are best left alone.
