Cant login to secure sites

    Hope you guys can help!

    I use Internet explorer to browse the net. I can access 99% of websites fine.

    When i go to a website that i have to log into (eg. banks or hotmail) once i have entered my username and password, i get a page cannot be displayed sign.

    Does anyone know why this has started occuring? I changed IE settings back to default and still the same

    PLease help!!!

    The first thing I would check is your 128-bit cipher strength in Internet Explorer. To do that, click on help, about Internet Explorer (while it is open) and see if it says cipher strength 128-bit. It it says 0-bit or anything other than 128 that's what's causing your problem. Try that and post back; also what OS are you using and what version of IE?

    If that't the problem the fix depends on your OS and version of IE.

    If what Suzi suggested doesn't fix it and you're using IE 6, try Tools > Internet Options and click the privacy tab.
    Lower the setting to Low, click ok. Close IE and reopen and try it.
