I have a Toshiba laptop & have XP home orginal installed on it. I have two accounts, one is 4 my self with a password & other for my housemate with no password. It was wrking fine until few days back it wont let me log in. The error message states "Windows cannot log you in now because the domain "FIREBLADE" is not available". I created a workgroup called fireblade before. When I try to log in using the account for housemates(no password) it asks for a password & gives the same error message. I tried logging in using safe mode with the admin account & it still gives me the same error message. I have important files which I didnt back up:( ..............so can anyone PLEASE SAVE ME!!!!

    Thanks guys

How long was the computer configured for a domain rather than a workgroup?

Do you know the passwords of any local (not domain) users?

Curious why you are getting a domain login error:

"Windows cannot log you in now because the domain "FIREBLADE" is not available"
