    Hi guys,

I'm here on behalf of my friend who is having some computer problems. He's using Windows 2000, and everything he tries to open opens up a picture viewer. He can't open his control panel or anything; it just launches the picture viewer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS - Sorry if this has been previously discussed. I did do a search, and got through about two pages, but I'm about to pass out due to sleep deprivation.

    Welcome to TSG
Looks like you should download (on his computer)'Hijack This!' from http://www.spywareinfo.com/files/hijackthis.zip
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, Click on "Scan". When the scan is finished click "Save Log", and copy and paste it back here. Someone that can help you ( and knows more than me ) will be along soon and tell you what to do.
