I've been trying to e-mail pictures to my sister and she can't open them. I'm just sending them as attachments. What should I suggest to her.

It probably is her email-OE, for example, has a setting under Options/Security that blocks all attachments.

if she is using outlook express ,have her click on tool- options - security - uncheck the fourth item " do not let attachment be saved or opened " -apply.

First ask your sister what operating system is she using (XP or Vista). If she is using Vista what security software is she using. Some security software such as Norton or McAfee blocks certain email attachment and she might need to turn them off to view the attachment.

On the note of O/S. If either user has a Vista O/S, more than likely the culprit will be the Norton Trial Version that came with the system. It only lasts 60 days. Problem is, the firewall settings stay on and active. Removing the trial version has been solving 95 % of my cases at work. Driver updates from cd's or internet come through without issue, people are able to send and receive pictures and video clips again, and the installation of printers, web cams, digital cameras, and external drives have also miraculously been successful. Only thing is, you need to use the Norton Removal Tool from Symantic to get the trial version completely off your system. Windows program manager for some reason, misses the firewall portion of the package.
