My windows seven computer is slow and sluggish. Now the browser does not open even if I click on it or after I locate it from the search button. Can anything be done to it? Any way out to browse the internet or make the computer work faster?

Assuming the computer wasn't always slow and sluggish, you need to find out what's causing the issue. The two problems are likely related.

First thought would be malware. When was the last time that you performed a full anti-virus and malware scan?

I used the computer long time back. I will do the scan and get in touch. Thank you.

    Have you tried?
Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard.
Select the Safe Mode with Networking option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.

Will the browser stay open from this mode?

I will try this and run the anti-virus, then get in touch again. Is there a way to completely clean the computer, like remove all the files, make it work like new?

We know nothing about your computer's hardware, so do the following in it:
Download and save the TSG System Information Utility (SysInfo.exe) file.
After it's been downloaded and saved, double-click it to run it.
Information about your computer will appear.
Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the ENTIRE text here.

If your computer is a factory-brand one and not a self-built one, also advise us what brand name and model name and model number it is.
It depends on your computer's description and what reinstall options you have and if you have the ability to do it.
