You do know that you can change to single click to open files and folders. Maybe that will work for youl

    1. Press Windows Key + E to open Windows Explorer.
    2. Click on "Tools" then on "Folder Options".
    3. With the "General" tab selected, choose the item labelled "Single click to open an item (point to select)".
    4. Click "OK" Exit out of the Folder Options dialog and out of Windows Explorer.
