Best not too if its a Dell; it's a Dell so overclocking is nowhere in the design of one.

Basically you cannot overclock a dell. While it is technically possible to overclock via a software program, IMO software overclocking is less than useless.

Next issue; it is a dell. It is NOT designed for the stress of overclocking. Dell does not use junk parts however the parts they use are not up to the stress of overclocking. Dells are fine for what they are designed for; running office apps, doing spreadsheets, eamil, etc, etc. [We must have at least 2000 of them]

When you use anything in a manner in which it was NOT designed, you are asking for a problem.

If you read through the thread you linked to, you will find out exactly what I already told you. It is technically possible however NOT recommended.

1 You have to mod the bios OR
2 You have to use software overclocking
3 In any case, dells are not up to the stress of overclocking

If you have to ask about the overclocking, then modding a bios is well above your level of tech understanding. Doing a bios mod [to access hidden settings] requires a reasonably high level of skill. One incorrect keystroke while you are writing the mod and you end up with a paperweight instead of a motherboard.

In short IF you want to overclock, then either build a system that is overclockable or have a shop build one for you. Trying to overclock a dell is an exercise in futility.
