Are you the author of the document? Is this a work computer?

Did you create the documents or did they come from someone else?

You mentioned the "information rights management" feature in your first post. This means that the person who created the document has put restrictions on it as to who can read it, print it or make changes to it. This does not occur by itself. If you wrote the document then you would have been the person who placed restrictions on it. Do you not remember doing that? Did you perhaps create it under a different user account?

What exactly does the error message say that you're getting?

If you created it under another user name then you will have to go into that account to change the permissions.

If you click on File and then on "Permission" what items are checked in the menu that opens up to the right?

Yes, so what is the error message you're getting that refers to the information rights management?

Then please explain why you said this in your first post:

"wanted to print something this past week and it keep failing because of information rights management"

Please go to Start - Run - type in eventvwr.msc to open the event viewer. Look under both "Application" and "System" for recent (the last 48 hours or so) errors (shown in red) and if found, do this for each one.

Double-click the error to open it up and then click on the icon that looks like two pieces of paper. This will copy the full error. Then "paste" the error into Notepad. Do this for each one until you have them all listed in Notepad and then copy and paste the list in a reply here please.

OK. It would be helpful if you'd post a screen shot of what you're seeing when that message is displayed in addition to the errors that I asked you to check and post when you can.

To take a screenshot click on the "print screen" key on your keyboard (it might just say prt scrn). This will copy the image to the clipboard but you won't actualy see anything. Now, open up Paint (go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - Paint and then right-click and select "paste" and the image will be pasted there. Save that image. Important note: If the document contains text that you don't want people to see be sure to crop the image so only the top portion is showing before uploading it here as an attachment.

Also, does this happen with all of your Word documents or just this wedding speech?
