I have IE 5.5 on my Win98 machine with 128megs of ram. It won't print web pages for some reason. However, under similar circumstances with Netscape, there are no printing problems. I tried clearing the cache, but to no avail. What to do?

Victor- Are you getting any error messages or anything about expired pages etc? Have you tried print preview to see if anything is being readied to spool?

Thanks for your reply. When I print preview it in IE5.5 it shows a blank page(s). No error messages are displayed.

    Hi,

I've got a couple of MS articles for you.

    Cannot Print Web Pages

This one occurs among other things if you do not have the Unicode option as the selected default encoding language in Internet Explorer. To see this option, on the View menu, point to Encoding.

    And then there's this one:

Blank Page Is Printed in Internet Explorer or Outlook Express 5.5

    Internet Explorer
When you attempt to print or preview a Web page in Internet Explorer 5.5, you may see a blank page where the body of the document should display and only the Headers and Footers may be visible.

    Outlook Express
When you attempt to print an e-mail message in Microsoft Outlook Express 5.5, a blank page may print with the Header (To:,From:,Subject, and so on) and Footer information of the e-mail message.

To work around this behavior, disable the Auto-Select option for encoding. To do so, on the View menu, point to Encoding, and then click to clear Auto-Select.

    Good luck,

Yes, I did. I unchecked the 'auto-select' from the view menu in IE and it now prints the web pages. Thanks for the assist.
