Hi, I've been having a problem re-installing Adobe Reader and this is a program I can't do without. About a week ago, I've received an error message that Adobe couldn't do it and it suggested that I uninstall it and then download and re-install Adobe Reader. My laptop is fairly old and I think my operating is also kind of outdated. I use a Compaq Rockers 7 Edition and the operating system is Windows 7. I've ran an Adobe cleaner a couple of times and downloaded Adobe successfully, but running the installation, has been very problematic. I've received so many Errors (1772, 1773) and I've got no idea what this mean. I've also noticed that during the installation it would go up to 90%, but then suddenly it will do a roll back action and undo all that was done. And then I get a message that "A newer version has already been installed." But yet there is nothing of Adobe Reader installed, after I've done the clean up. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me sort this problem out. I also do suspect that I may need to upgrade my laptop and update my operating system to some newer version. But due to financial constraints I'm not able to do any of that yet. I hope I've explained my situation as best as I can and that someone can assist me. Thank you.

Are you aware of the fact this is a pirated version of Windows 7?

What is the exact model number(M/N) and product number(P/N) and serial number(S/N) on your HP laptop?
What is the exact Windows version on its Certificate-Of-Authenticity sticker?
(Note: That information is located on the bottom of the case and/or inside the battery compartment)

lochlomonder is correct.
You appear to have a hacked non-genuine version of Windows 7 in your HP laptop.

Hi, thank you so much for responding. The laptop is not my own, I've been using someone else's laptop and had no idea that the operating system is a hacked version. Never really paid attention to that. I needed a laptop desperately, and this one was working fine until now. I've attached a picture of the sticker for you in response to your message. Please advise how I can go about correcting all this rubbish. Thank you.

Sorry but we don't support non-genuine versions of Windows.

Therefore, I'm closing this thread.

Flavallee has asked me to add the following:
According to the serial number in your image, you have a Compaq Presario CQ61-401SA Notebook PC
It was purchased in July 2010 and came with Windows 7 Home Premium.
