    Hi,
I've encounter a strange behavior in the last month - I can't reach www.amazon.com on my computer. All other websites seem to be working fine, and amazon.com works well on other devices in my home network. What could be the cause? I've attached a tracert output for www.amazon.com

I can get to amazon.com. I can not get to the IP you have for Amazon, 38.68.16.38 it times out.

I'm searching to see what is the correct IP for Amazon. Perhaps that is your issue. It is going to the wrong IP.

This is what I found for Amazon 205.251.242.54

There are many "correct" IP addresses for amazon.com. It has become a very large business and does not force everybody around the globe to just one server. :)

Are you getting a different IP address with the devices that can access amazon? If so, you are probably using a "bad" DNS server on the computer in question.

Thanks! I checked the adapter settings and indeed it was set to a specific DNS address instead of obtaining it automatically. Changing this solved the issue.
